Location 
  • The venue we have rented for Culture Campout is located inside of Fontainebleau State Park , Mandeville, LA

  • The Venue includes a dancehall, bathrooms, showers, patios, 4 dorms (25 beds per dorm), etc.
  • Food vendors will be operating out of the commercial kitchen. 
  • DAY PASS participants: At the entrance to the Fontainebleau state park,  Day Pass participants will need to pay the Fontainebleau entrance fee of $3 per person. (This fee does not apply to small children, seniors, and people that have registered for a weekend pass).

Lodging Options:  
Overnight options onsite:

  1.        Dorms:  Bunkbeds are available in 3 dorms. Dorm 1 has 25 bunkbeds for people of any gender, Dorm 2 has 25 bunkbeds for people who identify as female, Dorm 3 is reserved for families with children, Dorm 4 is reserved for volunteers and culture bearers. Registration is limited and on a first come first serve basis. You can reserve your bunkbed in a dorm when you register through eventbrite. If you are staying in a bunk bed, bring your own sheets, blankets and pillows. Children and youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at anytime while in the dorms. 
  2.        Bathrooms and Showers:  There are four sets of  bathrooms and showers. There are 16 showers total. There is a commercial kitchen and dining hall/ dancehall on site.  Bathrooms are also located in the dining/kitchen building.
  3.        Tent Camping:  Reserve tent camping through the eventbrite registration. Families with children can camp in a area that will have quiet times.  We believe that the outdoors are for everyone!  There is also talk of a "cookout at the campout" section for first time campers :) . Tent Campers will have access to the dorm bathrooms, showers, etc.        
  4.        RVs: Fontainebleau State Park has RV camping available a short distance away from the Group Camp (2 miles)  Reserve https://reservations.gooutdoorslouisiana.com/​
  5.        Group Rate Hotel Reservations BOOKING LINK  Arrival: January 16, 2025  Departure: January 20, 2025
    Rate: $109 plus tax.  All suite accommodations
Offsite lodging on your own:   
  1.    Fontainebleau State Park has Cabins for Rent (walking distance from the Group Camp). (Update: the cabins have been damaged by Hurricane Ida, and may not be repaired by January 2026.)​
  2.   Short-term rentals are available in Mandeville ( 3 miles )
  3.   Additional Hotels are available in Covington (10 miles)   (Homewood Suites, Comfort Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn).
